Black Botkier Bag: Bravo!

To be sure, the black patent Botkier St. Tropez bag is not for everyone. It has short handles and cannot be worn over the shoulder. It is patent. Some may interpret the small flap closure as a black tongue with a large rectangular silver piercing.

But if you're a person who doesn't mind wearing a bag on your forearm (and I promise, this is something that you will get used to in time!), and you are seeking out a nice, basic, black patent bag, then this is a great option. Especially if the tongue thing doesn't bother you.

Like the red bag I posted on recently, this beauty can be carried from day into evening. It can be dressed down with a pair of jeans, shirt, and ballet flats, or dress up if worn with black pants, a feminine top, and pair of heels.

Available in black patent leather and white leather for $495 and $425 respectively at revolveclothing.com.

As a complete aside, I just wanted to give Emilie, my co-writer, a little shout out. In the words of Prince Herbert in Monty Python's Spamalot,
"Where are you? Where are you?
Where are you? Where are you?"
That is all.
