Every time I log onto Neiman Marcus, I check out the Gustto Crochetta Croc-Embosssed Tote. There are a lot of things to like: the color is the perfect shade of blue-gray that you can wear with both jeans and black pants, a true feat when it comes to blue bags. The croc-embossed leather is subtle enough that it doesn't look fake, yet still picks up on the exotics trend. The handles are also a good length - finding long handles nowadays is certainly not an easy task. And the pleats add a nice feminine touch.
In fact, there is only one thing that bothers me about this bag: the huge gold stud in the middle reminds me of the eye of a cyclops. I'm not sure how I feel about a bag that stares back at me. Will it judge me? Will it turn into a one-eyed monster and eat me in the middle of the night?

But every time I view this bag the eye bothers me less and less, and now I'm starting to put a positive spin on it: if you work for the CIA or are spying on someone for any reason, this bag provides the perfect cover to hide a
tiny camera.
Available for $665 at
Neiman Marcus in navy or white.

I am not sure about this bag. I think navy blue is tough to pull off unless you are wearing white pants, and I agree with the gold emblem comment. The gold is just a little too much for me. However, I do like the shape of the bag and the size...perfect for everyday and those of us who need big bags.
Navy blue is definitely tough, but I thought that since the bag has some grey undertones it could work with black pants and potentially lighter jeans. I don't know what it is about this bag - I would never buy it, but there's just something about it that I like...maybe I'm being transfixed by the cyclops' eye.
